Eddie and Alisha Become a Tag Team

Since Impact Wrestling has gone all in with inter-gender wrestling, let’s have Eddie and Alisha Edwards as the first ever husband and wife tag team.

Eddie and Tessa have a tag title match against the North. Eddie is also in the 3-way world title match. This idea assumes that he loses both of those matches.

Following the Rebellion PPV, Eddie does an interview. He is asked, “What’s next for Eddie Edwards”. He says,  “My recent match with The North has rekindled my love for tag team wrestling. I want to be tag team champion again. I’ve found a great new partner. I’ll introduce that partner to you all next week”.

Next Week: Eddie is backstage with Alisha. She’s asking him who this new partner is. He says you’ll find out when the world does. But come to ring with me to meet them.

Eddie and Alisha are in the ring. Eddie does a promo hyping up this guy. He’s someone who knows me better than anyone. This person is the perfect partner for me. And here is my partner………..Alisha.

Alisha looks shocked.

Eddie says, “No one knows me better than you Lish. No one is in sync with me the way you are. No one has had my back more than you have. Lish, years ago I got down on one knee and asked you to be my partner in life”.

Eddie kneels down.

“Now, I’m down on one knee asking you to be my partner in the ring”.

Eddie pulls out a ring box with 2 rings in it.

”Alisha, will you be my tag team partner”?

She screams yes with tears of joy in her eyes. Eddie puts one ring on her finger and one on his own. They show the rings to the camera showing that one ring says TAG and the other says TEAM.

Eddie yells, “She said yes”!

Later they cut a promo saying that they are going to make history as the first ever husband and wife tag team champions.
